Request for Comment on Privilege Log Practice

The Committee on Rules of Practice and Procedure and its Advisory Committee on Civil Rules invite public input on privilege log practice. Specifically, the Advisory Committee would like to determine:

• the difficulties encountered in complying with Civil Rule 26(b)(5)(A); and
• whether those difficulties could be solved by rule amendments.

Effective Monday, June 14, 2021, the Robert T. Matsui and Robert E. Coyle United States Courthouses are open to the public from 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. daily.

All Social Security Practitioners

In cases filed after June 15, 2021, or as otherwise ordered by the court, the Eastern District of California will be adopting new procedures in Social Security Cases.
