About the Event

2026 Conference: Courtroom to Courtside

Join us this October for the annual Eastern District Conference at a stunning California destination. This year's theme, "Courtroom to Courtside," brings together attorneys and federal judges for a weekend of professional development, networking, and collaboration. The conference features engaging general sessions on cutting-edge legal topics relevant to all practitioners, alongside specialized breakout sessions tailored for civil, criminal, and bankruptcy attorneys. You'll have the opportunity to participate in an intimate fireside chat with our district's newest judges, where they'll share insights and answer questions in a relaxed, conversational setting. Beyond the courtroom, connect with colleagues during our guided hike through California's beautiful landscape and at networking meet-and-greets throughout the weekend. Attendees can earn 6-8 MCLE credit hours while learning about current legal issues, litigation trends, and matters of historical importance to the Eastern District of California. Whether you're deepening your expertise, building professional relationships, or simply recharging in an inspiring setting, this conference offers something for every member of our legal community. Our mission is to elevate the level of legal practice in the District, provide a robust forum for meaningful discussion, foster collegiality among the bench and bar, and improve access to justice throughout our region.
