- request for postponement or excuse
- If you need to be excused because of extreme hardship, you must submit your request in writing, detailing the hardship. The Court does not accept letters from jurors’ employers, and most employment hardship requests are denied. Any request to be excused must be submitted by the actual juror. The Jury Office will NOT discuss excuses over the telephone. DO NOT wait until the day of your required appearance to bring in your request. Unless you received a written response from the Court, you must continue to follow the instructions you received from the 800# jury information line or the eJuror Reporting Web.
You may request a postponement of your jury service by submitting a written request within seven (7) calendar days of receipt of your jury summons. This will allow the court sufficient time to provide a written response. Please state your reason for requesting a postponement and the earliest time you will be available. Unless you receive a written response from the court, you must continue to follow the instructions you receive from the 800# jury information line or the eJuror Reporting Web.
