- Term of service
-
The court expects you to be on call for thirty days starting the first day shown on your summons. You must retrieve your reporting instructions by calling the jury information line at 1-800-998-9062 or in the alternative, by accessing the eJuror Reporting Web, after 5:00 p.m. on the day before your summons date. When calling the jury information line for instructions or accessing the eJuror Reporting Web, please be sure to enter your 9-digit participant number, which is just above your name and address on the front of your summons. If you report for jury duty and are not selected as a juror on a case, we may ask you to report at a later date within your 30-day term of service. In this event, we will give you further instructions about when to check your juror reporting instructions again. If you are instructed to report, you must show a valid photo ID when entering the courthouse.
Court sessions usually run from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but the lengths of court sessions and trials can vary. Therefore, it is critical that you report on time. Reporting late may result in loss of an attendance fee. Additionally, due to the volume of cases scheduled and because no juror will be dismissed until all the judges have selected their juries, you should allow a full day for jury service.
